Originally we had planned on getting together a few days before their wedding. Since Ian didn't make back home from Iraq in time the shoot was postponed. So I guess this was more of a newlywed session! Since the wedding was less than a week ago they were very comfortable in front of the camera (they had 8 hrs to get use to me!)
I tired to give Ian a few pointers about being married, just embrace the handbag. Handbags and shoes, 2 things you have to accept.

Ian and Stephanie
Ian and Stephanie had their ceremony at St. Anthony's Church in Kyle, TX. Then off to their reception at the brand new Embassy Suites in San Marcos. This awesome couple opted to see each other prior to their ceremony. Ian is home on leave from Iraq where he serves in the Army. Stephanie told me she wanted to be with Ian as much as possible while he was home. This provided us some time to spend some time taking some relaxed photos before the ceremony.
I was very impressed with the space at the Embassy Suites, their service was the icing on the cake. My 2nd photographer Matt was along for the day and he did an amazing job as usual. Ian and Stephanie were cool calm and collected throughout the day. Such a pleasure to work with!
Their Awesome Vendors:
Church - St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church
Reception - Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel
Guitarist - David Warren
DJ - Tunes Across Texas
Cake - Lucy's Cakes
Florist - Exquisite Petals
Makeup - Sarah Stopper

Stephanie met me down at the Capital for her bridal portraits. Here are a few of my favorites from her shoot. She looked amazing.... made my job easy!

New Velossimo Kits
Karl Kupecz is the founder of Velossimo Cycling. He contacted me about doing some pictures in the new "kit" or jersey that was designed for this years racing season. I have been wanting to do some outdoor strobe shooting since hanging out with Eric Doggett. I actually had to borrow a few pieces of equipment to pull this shoot off. Thank E Dogg!

Dante
For those that have not met Dante yet, he is quite the remarkable dog with extremely remarkable parents. Back in June of 2008 I photographed the Ryan family before Dante's surgery to remove his front leg which was infected with bone cancer. Shortly after I paid the family a visit to see how he was recovering.
Michelle had the great idea of taking pictures of the family in bed where they enjoy playing and sharing time together every day. Its really been an honor to take these series of photographs for the Ryan's. Dante is such an awesome dog with a great temperament and its obvious that he loves Michelle and Jim. Almost like he knows what could have been and just how lucky he is to have such caring parents.
